# TGDirectory — Telegram channel directory

> A public directory of Telegram channels, groups and bots. Channels can be
> submitted programmatically, which is useful for agents and automations that
> list a user's own channels.

## Submitting a channel (for agents & automation)

An agent can list one or many channels with a single HTTP call. No account is
required; submissions are reviewed (an AI pre-screen plus human review) before
they go live, so nothing is published automatically.

- POST https://telegramchannels.io/api/channels/submit
  Body: {"channels": ["@example", "https://t.me/another"]} (or {"channel": "@example"})
Up to 500 handles per call. Returns a per-handle result.
- GET https://telegramchannels.io/api/channels/submit — returns the usage, as JSON.
- OpenAPI spec: https://telegramchannels.io/api/openapi.json
- MCP server (Model Context Protocol): https://telegramchannels.io/api/mcp
  Tool: submit_channel({ channels: [...] })

## If your tools can't send a POST request

Some assistants can read pages but not make POST calls from a plain chat.
Two ways to submit anyway, both from a phone:

- Add the MCP server as a connector and call its tool:
  https://telegramchannels.io/api/mcp → tool submit_channel({ channels: [...] })
(In Claude: Settings → Connectors → add a custom connector with that URL, no auth.)
- Or wire the OpenAPI spec as an action/tool:
  https://telegramchannels.io/api/openapi.json (e.g. a ChatGPT Custom GPT Action).

No API key is needed either way. Don't claim a channel was submitted unless a
call actually returned a result.
